“Every Home A Classroom” ™ TechCamp 2K10 (2010)

The ComputerCorps “Every-Home-A-Classroom”™ TechCamp is an annual summer program for youth 10-15 years old. For the past 10 years, this 2-week program gives kids the opportunity to learn about computer recycling, testing and assembly while building a computer system they can take home or give to a needy family at the end of camp.
This year, up to five separate two-week camps will be offered throughout the summer in Carson City, NV with each camp consisting of up to 18 kids. Daily activities include “learning”, “doing” and “having fun” sessions taking place on Monday thru Friday for 3 hours a day (1:30 to 4:30 pm).
The Starting Dates for the “Every Home A Classroom” TechCamp 2K10 (2010) are:
TechCamp Alpha – June 7th – June 18th ( CLOSED for Registration )
TechCamp Bravo – June 21st- July 2nd ( CHECK WEBSITE FOR AVAILABILITY)
TechCamp Charlie – July 12th – July 23rd (CHECK WEBSITE FOR AVAILABILITY)
TechCamp Delta – July 26th – August 6th (CHECK WEBSITE FOR AVAILABILITY)
TechCamp Echo – August 9th – August 20th (CHECK WEBSITE FOR AVAILABILITY)
The tuition for the TechCamp is $450 and includes all materials, tools, snacks, TechCamp shirts and a 2 Gigahertz+ computer system which the child builds during the camp.
Scholarships: Low-income families are encouraged to apply as some scholarships are available from businesses and service organizations.
Parents are encouraged to participate as counselors and teachers and adult volunteers are always welcome to participate.
